Who Doesn’t Like Network Marketing Incentives?

Every network marketing company that I’ve ever heard of will have a variety of network marketing incentives.  I’m talking about tropical destinations, world class cruises, exotic vehicles and large cash bonuses.  Now, your network marketing company isn’t just going to give you these prizes.  You’re going to have to work for them, but usually these gifts will be within your grasp if you just apply yourself to the task at hand.  In other words, just give it that college try and in most cases you’ll be enjoying your network marketing incentives.

Why are network marketing incentives so important?

It’s my personal opinion that most people, especially in the network marketing industry, require a little push and sometimes even a kick in the you know where, to keep them moving forward.  Considering that in network marketing, you’re your own boss.  It can become real easy for you to start procrastinating about the mundane tasks you have to perform consistently on a daily bases to get you to your next level.

Now, putting aside the fact that your network marketing company will have their own network marketing incentives.  Then why do I encourage network marketing team leaders to hold their own smaller network marketing incentives?

The main reason, there’s no better way to build and solidify a stronger sense of unity and team concept.  Having your entire team involved in a healthy competition, will not only help their business grow to new and exciting levels of achievement.  In return, you as the team leader will see your network marketing business explode.  Not to mention, network marketing incentives drastically reduce the rate of attrition.

Don’t Forget The Network Marketing Basics

Network marketing basics.  Do you ever have those days in your network marketing business where you feel like for every step forward that you take, you’re taking two steps backwards?  If you didn’t, I’d be surprised!  Don’t fret over it, it’s normal, we all have them, leaders included.  I’ve heard it told to me a number of times and by some of the best network marketing mentors.  If you don’t feel like quitting your network marketing opportunity at least 3 times a month, you’re not working hard enough.  For the majority of network marketers, I’m sure quitting crosses their minds on a constant bases.  Let me be crystal clear, so know one is disillusioned.  Network marketing is some of the hardest work that you’ll ever do.  Remember that.  There are no free lunches, no short cuts or easy ways around not doing the work.  To conquer the network marketing industry, it will take almost every resource you have to reach your goals.  Now, that we’re all on the same page.  What should you do to ensure you keep going in your network marketing business to avoid becoming one of the 97% failure rate statistics?   For starters, don’t QUIT!  Nothing like stating the obvious.  Let me be a little more helpful.  The answer I was looking for is…

Network marketing basics.  Whether you’re a newbie or a veteran of network marketing, this industry can become complicated and absolutely overwhelming very quickly.  Trying to get a handle on which and how many marketing strategies to learn and implement alone can be enough for most people to call it quits.  Never mind that there are an endless amount of people, so called gurus, trying to pull you in every conceivable direction which simply adds to your frustration.  So, once again, what to do when you start to doubt yourself in your network marketing business?

Network marketing basics.  Remember the “KISS” principle.  Keep it simple.

Keeping the network marketing basics in mind, you should always remember, the network marketing industry in its simplest form, is all about networking.  It boils down to simply talking with people.  Building relationships.   The process of networking, whether it be, making a new friend or a new business partner, remains the same when dealing with network marketing. 

First 

You strike up a conversation naturally with someone regarding whatever.  Finding topics of commonality.  Refer to my post titled, “Attraction Marketing & The Art Of Communication”.

Second

You begin to build rapport and trust, which leads to friendship.  Refer to my post titled, “Attraction Marketing, The Ability To Build Rapport”.

Third

You find out by asking your new friend, if they would be open to whatever your network marketing opportunity is all about.

Now, keeping in mind that it doesn’t take much for people to be distracted from their one true goal of networking, especially considering the amount of online & offline marketing strategies there are to choose from.   You should take as long as you need to choose and learn ONE marketing strategy, but you should always be networking, preferably, face to face, one on one, just the same as making a new friend.

How Important Are Network Marketing Events?

Considering most network marketing companies hold only one yearly convention, on average two yearly major events and several smaller special events.  I’d say, attending network marketing events are crucial to you achieving success.  

Every single leader in the network marketing industry without exception, that I’ve ever spoken to, has contributed their #1 reason for attaining massive levels of success as to attending, if not all, the majority of their company’s network marketing events.

You see, there’s a major difference between mentally and emotionally experiencing anything.  Your emotions always trump logic.  Marketing experts know this all to well.  It’s the main reason advertisements, especially on television, focus all their sales tactics on your emotional response rather than on rational thinking.  I’m sure we’ve all done it, buying purely on emotions whether we needed the item or not.  I digress, I’ll save this topic for another post.

What will attending network marketing events do for you?

The biggest benefit, it’s the quickest and most effective way to increase your belief level.  The belief in your network marketing opportunity, the industry itself, your products, the compensation plan, the leadership of your network marketing company, but mostly, the belief in yourself.  When you attend network marketing events, especially the yearly convention, you have the opportunity to meet, shake hands with and mingle with top earners of your network marketing opportunity.  These are the people that you’ve heard and read about all year.  You start to see, that these gurus are just ordinary people, just like yourself.  What happens then, is you tell yourself, “If they can do it, then so can I”.   Belief, belief, belief.  Don’t underestimate it.  It’s contagious!

So, attend as many network marketing events as possible, that your network marketing company offers.

Marketing Network Marketing, Which Strategy to Use?

The real question should be, can you be using too many marketing strategies for your network marketing business?  I’m sure you’ve all heard that diversity or multiple streams of income is the way to go to achieve true financial freedom.  However, I’d have to suggest that the answer is, it depends.  It depends on your knowledge and experience in marketing.  If you’ve been involved in the network marketing industry for a number of years and are comfortable and proficient at marketing network marketing.  Then, absolutely, fill your boots and expand your marketing strategies as far as you can.  Unfortunately, most network marketers haven’t put enough time into this industry and lack the confidence to tackle a variety of marketing strategies.  

Allow me to digress for just a moment.  This evening, I attended the My Lead System Pro weekly Wednesday webinar in which the speaker, Marc Barrett discussed a marketing network marketing strategy.  This single strategy, if done correctly, could generate 100,000 or more leads in a very short period of time.  Its been said, that successful network marketers have built themselves a mailing list of 10,000 to 20,000 people.  Just imagine for a moment, how successful you’d be if your list was over 100,000 people.  The marketing network marketing strategy that Marc is using to build just such a list is Twitter.  Marc did an excellent job training the 800 network marketers who attended the webinar, but to be absolutely honest, it was a lot of information, and I could see how even just this one marketing strategy could be a little overwhelming, especially for newbies in the network marketing industry.

So, back to my answer of how many marketing network marketing strategies to use

I strongly suggest, that you start with ONE marketing strategy, and when you’re able to generate a minimum of 10 leads per day using solely that one marketing strategy.  Then, and only then, should you move on, learn and implement a second marketing strategy.  From there, rinse and repeat.

Building Your Network Marketing List

I’m sure you’ve heard it before, ”The Money Is In The List”.  You’d better believe it.  No network marketing list, no money, no business.  Some people who have been involved in the network marketing industry for years have been able to build a substantial network marketing list.  It’s also the reason that these same people are able to go from one network marketing business into another network marketing opportunity and reach high levels of success almost overnight.  It’s because of their network marketing list and the relationship they’ve created with the people on their list.  Your network marketing list is your customers, and if  handled correctly, soon to be buyers of your products and eventually team members of your network marketing opportunity.  I’ll get to how to build your network marketing list in a minute. 

When you start to build your own network marketing list, the most important thing you want to do is, “Baby It!” 

Building your network marketing list is one thing, but taking care of it, is the difference between success and failure in your network marketing business.   

These are 3 ways to build your network marketing list. 

1.  Purchase mailing lists 

Ezine Advertising is one of these strategies.  It’s kind of like borrowing someone elses mailing list and some of these lists can be quite large.  You promote your product or offer directly to their mailing list.  The upside, you can create quite a large network marketing list quickly.  The downside, it comes at a price and depending on how big the mailing list is, the more it will cost you.  If you have the budget, it’s a great strategy to get your network marketing business off and running right from the start.

2.  Lead vendors

This is when you purchase lead lists from a lead vendor.  You may have heard the term, Co-Op.  This would fall in the same category.  The upside, some people have created massive network marketing organizations through this strategy.  The downside, unless you know the lead vendor, you have no idea where these leads are coming from or how qualified they are.  It’s kind of a crap shoot, hit and miss.  This strategy can also be very expensive.

3.  Build your own email list

These are people that have raised their hand and opted into your email list requesting more information from you about what you have to offer or are doing in your network marketing business.  These people become your leads, you own them, you control them, no one else can take them away from you.  Once you build up your network marketing list, you can make money regularly from your list.  You can promote anything you want to your list, whether it be training products or your network marketing business opportunity.  That is your network marketing list.  The upside, if built correctly, it can be very lucrative.  The downside, this process takes longer than just purchasing leads or advertising to someone elses mailing list.

Thoughts Worth Thinking

I can’t tell you what to think, that one is up to you.  However, I strongly suggest you consider what you choose to think about.  I’m sure you’ve heard the expression, “Garbage In, Garbage Out”.  Before we go further, lets back up a bit.

How does your thinking process really work?

Without getting to deep into metaphysics, everything begins with thought.  Your thoughts do become things.

Lets start from the end and work backwards.  Your creativity, the things you create, come from your expectations.  Your expectations manifest into your experiences, your reality, who you are.  So, what drives your expectations?  Your thinking does.  What you spend your time thinking about, will determine your expectations.  What you expect to happen, will happen, creating your life story.  Now that you know your creativity comes from your expectations, which comes from your thoughts.  The real question would then be, where do your thoughts come from?  The answer is simple.  Whatever you allow to enter into your mind is what you think about, which leads to your expectations, which ultimately determines your creative output.

Your mind is just like a computer.  A computer doesn’t discriminate, judge or even care what information its creator inputs into it.  A computer simply processes and works with the information it receives and produces a result.  Our minds are no different.  Input in, input out. 

So, why explain the thinking process?

What you do is important, but it’s what your thinking that really makes a difference.  Change your attitude and you’ll change your life. 

This reminds me of a simple but powerful quote, “Attitude Is Everything”.  The quality of your life is directly proportional to the quality of your thoughts.

A dirty glass of water vs a clean glass of water

Your mind is like a glass of water.  if you’re continuously listening to everything that’s wrong and bad in the world through the news in the newspaper, on the radio, tv or on the internet.  Then you’re filling your glass with dirty water.  Everything that your mind thinks about will be filtered through that glass of dirty water.  In other words, negative.  Now, if you want to clear up that dirty glass of water, start listening to and looking for what’s good in the world.  Stay away from sensationalized media, stories of doom and gloom.  Try to cut out, better yet, eliminate all the negativity in your world.  The more positive, clean water you start to pour into that dirty glass of water, eventually, if you’re consistent, you’ll end up with a full glass of clean water.  The result, you’ll be a positive, productive and better person.

Always remember, “Garbage In, Garbage Out”.  Choose your thoughts wisely.

The Miracle Of Personal Development

The Power Of Personal Development Through Network Marketing

At the end of the day, what’s your journey through life really all about?  Now, without getting to deep into this subject, I would have to say, that the quality of your total life’s experiences is directly in proportion to your personal development, which ultimately leads to your personal growth as a human being.  Therefor, enjoy your personal development voyage.

So, where does network marketing fit in with personal development? 

In my opinion, the #1 reason why I believe that network marketing is the greatest business in the world, is because of the incredible personal development that an individual gains from the experience.  If you want to succeed in your network marketing business, you had better embrace the concept of personal development.  Network marketing because of its dynamics, provides people with the best chance for personal development, if they’re ready for it.

One of the leading personal development materials resources out there, has to be Jim Rohn.  Unfortunately and sadly for the business community as a whole, Jim at 79 years of age passed away December 5, 2009.  Amongst all of his accomplishments, Jim was known for his motivational & inspirational quotes.  I recently listened to one of Jim’s audios on personal development.  Jim made a lot of interesting points on the topic, but what impacted and stuck with me the most was the following.

Jim asked the audience, who wants more?  More money, a bigger house, more friends, companionship, more value?  Jim went on and answered his own question.   For a person to change the circumstances in their life, they have to be willing to change.  For a person to want more from their life, they have to become more.  For a person to have more value in their life, they have to become more valuable.  You see,  life isn’t as much about doing as it is about becoming.  If you want to be great, then you must become greater than you are.  The best way to achieve this, is through personal development.

I can hear you asking, how does one attain personal development?

There are a number of avenues available.  Read a book or an article on personal development.  Listen to “how to” tapes on any topic of interest.  Watch videos of people who inspire and motivate you to be a better person.  The internet has an endless amount of information, a lot of it for free, on this topic of personal development.  One of my favourite strategies for improving myself, is to seek out people who are better than me.  You’d be amazed on how quickly these types of people with the right mindset, will help you to develop yourself.

The Industries Network Marketing Leaders

You’ve all heard the terms, gurus, mentors, leaders, coaches, etc.  Who are these people really?  How important is it to know, surround yourself with and follow these folks?  Why even bother?

To begin with, it’s no longer a question of leadership being a requirement for success.  It’s an absolute.  If you truly want to attain financial freedom once and for all, especially in the network marketing industry, you must take all the necessary steps to be a leader. 

I could probably come up with a lot of fancy words to describe network marketing leaders.   Starting with their character traits, attributes, etc.  In the end, network marketing leaders are just like everyone else with one major difference.  Network marketing leaders are go-getters.  They take consistent massive action.  For whatever reason, network marketing leaders are beyond just complaining or whining about their situation.  There are no more excuses.  No more shifting blame.  Their mindset has forever changed to, I will do this or die trying.

One of my favourite motivational speakers, Les Brown on his “You Deserve” audio, tells the story of 2 men and a dog on a porch.  The dog is laying on the porch moaning, groaning and whining repeatedly to the point where one of the men asks the other, “Is that your dog?”  The second man replies, “Why, yes it is”.  The first man asks, “Why is your dog just laying there, continuously whining?”  The second man replies, “Cause he’s laying on a nail”.  The first man asks, “Why doesn’t he just get off the nail?”  The second man replies, “Cause it doesn’t hurt enough”.

Now, Les Brown does the story a lot more justice than I, but doesn’t this story sound awfully familiar.  Most people that aren’t happy with their current situation, who want a change, a better life for themselves.  What do they do?  They whine and complain about everything that is wrong or bad in their lives, but that’s all they do.  The pain of their circumstances isn’t enough for them to do anything else.  That my friends, is the #1 difference between most network marketing people and network marketing leaders.

So, back to the beginning of this post.  Why know, surround yourself with and follow these folks?  Network marketing leaders have what it takes to help you reach your goals, dreams and aspirations in the network marketing industry.

Search out, find and locate these network marketing leaders.  Learn about them and then pick one leader that resonates with you personally and copy them.  Don’t try to re-invent the wheel.  Do what they do and you will start to get the results they do.

Possibly The #1 Network Marketing Tip Hazard To Avoid

Out of all the hazards that can possibly trip you up along your network marketing journey.  The one that can stop you in your tracks and make you question why you’re even looking at making a career in the network marketing industry.  This network marketing tip hazard can really hit a nerve and for good reason, especially if you’re a newbie in this industry.  Heck, even if you’ve been in the network marketing industry for sometime now.  If your “Why” or reason for doing network marketing isn’t strong enough,  quiting becomes a very real possibility. 

So, what is this network marketing tip hazard to avoid?

There are actually 2.

1st - Friends

This is the lesser of the 2 network marketing tip hazards.  You must keep in mind, your friends, especially the ones that you’ve known for years, also know you the best.  Your friends know your achievements as well as your failures.  At the beginning of your network marketing career, all I can say is, leave your friends alone, at least for now.  Start with recruiting everyone else.  When you’re making money, trust me, your friends will be knocking on your door wanting to join your network marketing opportunity.

2nd – Family

Now for your family.  This will be one of the most sensitive network marketing tip hazards that you’ll ever have to deal with.  There’s no avoiding or getting around this one.  When you make the decision to work your network marketing business, and by work, I mean treat your business like a business and not a hobby.  The first people you want to recruit into your network marketing business is your family.  Let me be clear, your family doesn’t actually have to join your business, but they must support your efforts to grow your business for you to have any chance of being successful.  Therefor, have a family meeting. Let your family know what the immediate short term sacrifices will be.  For example, meetings, seminars and conventions that you’ll be attending which will take time away from family time.  Expenses that you’ll be incurring to get your new network marketing business off the ground, as well, courses and training that you’ll be purchasing, etc.  At the same time, advise your family of the long term benefits that will result from this new business venture.  For example, the extra income that you’ll generate will provide a better, richer life style.  More family vacations.  More toys for the family, and simply more quality family time spent together.  The point is, your family must be aware of your goals, dreams and desires at the start of your new network marketing business venture.

Newsletter marketing tips, before I tell you why I chose newsletter marketing over all the other marketing strategies available to grow a network marketing business, let me clear up one thing right now.  I want everyone to know, the goal should be to eventually learn how to master numerous marketing strategies so that your network marketing business has a solid and stable foundation to weather any storm.  In other words, as we’ve all heard, it’s better to diversify your income portfolio than to have all your eggs in the same basket.  This is especially true for network marketers who are using the internet as a means of growing their network marketing business.  We all know that the internet is very unstable and the rules on how you generate traffic and leads into your business online can change over night.  So, diversify by learning and mastering one type of marketing strategy, then move onto another.  Repeat this process until your network marketing business is solid and stable enough to endure any changes in our industry. 

So, why did I choose newsletter marketing over everything else?

The answer is simple, responsiveness. 

What do I mean by responsiveness?

Responsiveness simply means, people who constantly think of and who are actively searching out network marketing opportunities.  These responsive people want as much information as possible so that they can do their own due diligence and make an educated decision on which network marketing company to join.  Talk about targeted traffic.  Exactly the type of prospects that all network marketers are looking for. 

Newsletter marketing is one of the quickest methods of generating immediate traffic and leads into your network marketing business.  Where else can you place an ad and within 24 hours have a ton of new traffic, not to mention, leads pouring into your business?

The newsletter marketing tips #1 rule, types of newsletter ads

Even though there are a number of different types of newsletter ads that you can use.  The newsletter marketing tips #1 rule is this.  Only use “SOLO ADS”.  Read that over again and don’t stray from this rule, ever.  Solo ads have one major advantage over all other types of newsletter ads.  Solo ads, go out to an entire subscriber base of a certain publication in front of thousands and thousands of hungry, responsive and targeted traffic, all looking at your solo ad because you have exactly the solution that all those people are looking for.  Even more importantly, and this is the newsletter marketing tips #1 reason.  With a solo ad, you control the subject headliner space.  Imagine a publication writing your subject headliner as ”your next news addition is here”.  No one would care.  No one would open that.  By far, the best way to make money with newsletter ads, is by controlling the subject headliner space.  The only way to do that, is by using a solo ad.
